Announcing the E-Tender Project
[For the original story, click here]
As the first private social club built on solar-electric yachts, ARKHAUS is already pushing the limits on eco-hospitality. However, the club needs to shuttle, or ‘tender’, patrons to ARKHAUS, resulting in running 200 miles per day of passenger transport. Doing so aboard fuel vessels while calling yourself an eco-hospitality or blue-tech startup would be speaking out of both sides of our mouth. And we refuse to do that.
Announcing the E-Tender Project
Two weeks ago at Climate Week NYC, ARKHAUS announced it will undertake a major effort to enter into serial production of the first US-built electric passenger vessels specialized for commercial transport.
Building commercial, electric, passenger vessels for ARKHAUS will not only deliver a modern, clean, and futuristic experience for our members…but it will also eliminate 73,000 miles of oil and fuel powered boats running in Biscayne Bay each year.
Unfortunately, building 3 vessels for ARKHAUS Miami is just a drop in the bucket. The company will scale into serial production, building vessels for other operators of water taxis, water ferries, cruise ship tenders, and superyacht tenders. In other words, the ARKHAUS 1 electric passenger vessel will transform commercial marine transport and decarbonize our waterways.
We’re thrilled to work on two exciting synergistic products that are sure to create waves. Drop us a line if you’d like to get involved.
